Passing through the spectacular Cogmans Kloof from Ashton, one finds Montagu, often called the Capital of the Langeberg Valley. Montagu lies in the heart of the Route 62 and is a renowned wine, deciduous fruit and muscadel-grape centre. The area has natural hot springs and its unique Long Street contains numerous historic homes.
